Aqua Medica Spa: Laser Technology and Advanced Skincare

The newly opened Aqua Medica Spa is introducing treatments using Nd:YAG laser technology, complemented by professional skincare and classic relaxation rituals. The treatment menu includes procedures performed with a 1064 nm and 532 nm Nd:YAG laser, used for vascular treatments, skin rejuvenation, acne therapy, excessive sweating, carbon laser peels and the removal of selected skin lesions.

Nd:YAG technology makes it possible to tailor treatment parameters to the individual concern and the area being treated. The 532 nm wavelength is primarily used for superficial vascular lesions, while 1064 nm allows treatment of deeper structures, including blood vessels located on the legs.

Laser Treatment for Visible Blood Vessels

One of the applications of the laser is the reduction of visible blood vessels and vascular changes associated with skin redness. The light energy is absorbed by haemoglobin, causing the blood vessel to contract and gradually be reabsorbed by the body.

The treatment is designed to reduce the visibility of small blood vessels, improve skin tone and achieve a more even complexion. Laser treatment of vascular lesions can be performed on the face and, where appropriately indicated, on other areas of the body.

Removal of Skin Tags and Cherry Angiomas

The laser can also be used to remove selected skin lesions, including skin tags and cherry angiomas. The laser energy is precisely directed at the affected tissue, leading to its controlled destruction and subsequent natural absorption by the body.

The treatment allows for precise, localised action while minimising the effect on the surrounding skin. Appropriate assessment and qualification of the lesion by a specialist are required before the procedure.

Laser Skin Rejuvenation and Resurfacing

Nd:YAG laser technology is also used in treatments designed to improve skin quality. Laser resurfacing stimulates regenerative processes and collagen production without causing conventional damage to the skin’s surface. As a result, the skin becomes smoother, firmer and more radiant.

The procedure is minimally invasive and does not require a lengthy recovery period, allowing you to return to your daily activities relatively quickly after treatment.

Reduction of Excessive Sweating

Another application of Nd:YAG technology is the laser reduction of excessive sweating. The treatment acts on the sweat glands and gradually reduces their activity, helping to decrease excessive perspiration.
