On 6–7 June 2026, Aqua Resort in Międzyzdroje hosted a crew from Danish television, which was producing a feature report on the development of the Polish tourism market in comparison with the rest of Europe. The journalists visited the Polish Baltic coast to showcase the dynamic changes taking place in the hospitality and tourism sectors, as well as Poland’s growing attractiveness as a leisure destination for both domestic and international visitors.
The selection of Międzyzdroje and Aqua Resort reflects current tourism trends. According to the latest Eurostat data, the number of overnight stays in tourist accommodation establishments in Poland increased by 7% year-on-year in 2025, making it the second-best result in the European Union, surpassed only by Malta. At the same time, the average increase across the EU was 2%, meaning that Poland’s tourism sector expanded at a rate more than three times higher than the European average.
In the first half of 2025 alone, 18.9 million tourists used tourist accommodation facilities in Poland, accounting for 44.9 million overnight stays. This represents an increase of 11.6% in the number of visitors and 8.5% in overnight stays compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. Particularly noteworthy was the strong growth in the number of international visitors, confirming Poland’s increasing recognition and competitiveness on the global tourism market.
The report being produced at Aqua Resort aims to introduce Danish viewers to the phenomenon of Polish tourism, which, thanks to its modern infrastructure, high-quality services, and attractive holiday destinations such as the Baltic coast, is becoming one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing tourism markets in Europe.
Following an interview with Piotr Puchała, President of Prestige Investment Group, the television crew spoke with guests staying at the resort and then joined them on the beach for a shared amber-hunting experience along the Baltic shoreline.
